Nathan Chittum was a recent high school graduate who had just been invited to the Foundation ’ s fishing tournament . “ Before I discovered my interest in Unmanned Aircraft Systems technology at the Foundation ’ s fishing tournament , I was truly unsure of my future plans ,” said Chittum . Paired with a gentleman who was using a drone to find the best fishing spots , he found himself more interested in how the drone worked than fishing . Chittum spent the rest of the day asking questions trying to understand this technology . “ After that day ’ s inspiration , I joined the Unmanned Vehicle Systems Operations program and was greeted by outstanding professors , administrators and peers .” After completing courses , he opened his own company , Real Estate Photography , providing aerial footage of homes and more . When he was asked about providing his services for the Annual Foundation Golf Tournament , he was “ truly honored to assist ” and to give back to the place that has given him so much . “ I ’ m so grateful for the overall experience that was offered to me by this outstanding state college and for the path to success it set me on .”
