The newest Friend of the Foundation , David Eisenberg has provided $ 1,000 to the General Scholarship Fund which affords scholarship support to PHSC students annually .
The Rotary Club of Spring Hill donated $ 6,251 toward the Rotary Club of Spring Hill Israel Kacanek Scholarship . The generous organization and community partner has to date , provided $ 65,400 toward student scholarships . Israel Kacanek was a Rotarian for more than 50 years . He was dedicated to the community , donating countless hours to Rotary activities and other community projects .
The Sturgill Family Trust has continued their support of PHSC students through the David and Teresa Sturgill Scholarship . The fund is in memory of Teresa Sturgill , a previous president of the Hernando County Association of REALTORS and Realtor of the Year honoree . Currently , the Trust has provided over $ 160,000 in PHSC student scholarship support .
Rao Musunuru , M . D ., PHSC District Board of Trustees Vice Chair and influential PHSC Foundation supporter recently contributed $ 100,000 to the PHSC Health and Wellness Trail . The generous gift will support the future trail construction on the West Campus in New Port Richey and provide opportunities for health and wellness for the students , staff and community .
Joyce Clark and members of the Brooksville Garden Club have established the Robin Elliott Springstead Memorial Scholarship . Robin Springstead was involved with the PHSC Foundation ’ s Brooksville Garden Club Scholarship . Following her passing in June 2020 , Robin ’ s loving friends established the Robin Elliott Springstead Memorial Scholarship . The funding will benefit a PHSC female nursing student in honor of Robin ’ s nursing profession .
Recently , Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative , Inc ., Ron May , PHSC Foundation Board Chair and the Gary L . Blackwell Charitable Foundation provided $ 13,000 in additional funding toward the Gary L . Blackwell Charitable Foundation Scholarship at PHSC .
Carrying on her legacy , the friends and family of the late Dr . Felisha Renee Barker recently made a generous donation to the Dr . Felisha R . Barker Memorial Scholarship . Dr . Barker was a beloved PHSC alumna and academic advisor on PHSC ’ s East Campus in Dade City . Created in her memory , the Dr . Felisha R . Barker Memorial Scholarship has assisted 15 students since 2005 , totaling $ 11,950 in scholarship awards .
Florida College System Foundation board member , Tim Morris , recently visited the PHSC West Campus to present a generous $ 34,224 donation toward 2020- 2021 student scholarship support . The check represented three donations from the Florida Blue Foundation , Helios Education Foundation , and the Bank of America Foundation .

The Otto and Elaine Weitzenkorn Family Scholarship was established in 1984 . In appreciation of the Dade City community ’ s support to their family , the Weitzenkorn Family recently made a contribution to this scholarship which will now provide financial assistance to African American graduates of Pasco High School .
The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay ( CFTB ) awarded a $ 10,000 grant for the PHSC Concept College Program . The program empowers at-risk middle and high school students by providing them the necessary tools to successfully graduate high school and enroll in college . The partnership with CFTB has assisted thousands of Pasco and Hernando youth to generate confidence to pursue careers that match their skills and abilities .
