other service organizations provided information on employment , career guidance , VA Loans , veterans support services , and college admissions . Sessions included one-on-one meetings with local veterans services personnel , employers , and service organizations .
Additionally , WEDU PBS filmed interviews with veterans and family members for an upcoming TV documentary . Other event activities included campus tours , an employer discussion session , college admissions and support services panel , and one-onone assistance with completing the PHSC college admissions application and the federal financial aid application ( FAFSA ).

KUDOS Jacqueline Eden , Assistant Director Career and Testing Services , was nominated for the prestigious West Pasco Chamber of Commerce “ Outstanding Citizen Award .” Eden has an extensive list of volunteer activities , including co-chair of the Business Development Week of 2015-2018 ; Rotary Board Director for Public Relations 2016-2017 ; Chasco Coronation Ball Committee Program co-chair , 2016-2017 ; Pasco Economic Development Council Shark Tank Judge ; and many more .
NEW AVIATION PROGRAMS TAKEOFF IN DADE CITY
An open house was held in July at the East Campus showcased the College ’ s new aviation programs . College administrators and aviation faculty members provided information about the new programs to the community and interested students . Presentations outlined academic requirements , costs and professional opportunities the exciting new degree programs offer .
“ Employment opportunities in aviation are increasing due to industry expansion and an aging workforce ,” said Ed Goolsby , dean , workforce development . “ PHSC ’ s new aviation programs provide a robust curriculum to address growing statewide demand as well as meet local workforce needs expressed by community employers .”
