From the President
With gratitude,
Eric Hall, Ed. D. PHSC President
Dear Friends,
As I reflect on the past few months and my first 90 days as the sixth president of PHSC, I am filled with pride and gratitude for all that we have accomplished, building on the legacy of our great institution. We have experienced a season of remarkable milestones that underscore the strength of our community and the bright future ahead.
The recent alumni gatherings brought together graduates across generations to network and connect. As the first alumnus to serve as president of this College, I was honored to speak and share a part of my story at a recent alumni social.
We also celebrate a strong fall enrollment with over 10,000 new and returning students being welcomed to our beautiful campuses in August. This growth reflects our continued commitment to academic excellence, student success and workforce readiness.
At the same time, the generosity of our donors continues to transform lives— most notably through gifts like those from Orlando Health and our other health care partners, which are working to support nursing and health care services across our region. With several hospitals support, including Orlando Health, The Institute for Nursing and Allied Health Advancement is focused on meeting community needs and serving as an accelerator for talent, as PHSC positions itself as the premier leader in developing health care professionals along the Suncoast.
Perhaps most significantly, we mark the 50th anniversary of the PHSC Foundation. For five decades, the Foundation has been a driving force behind scholarships, programs and initiatives that empower students to achieve their dreams. This milestone is not only a celebration of the past but also a call to envision the future as we work to bring our new College strategic plan from vision into action.
As you read through this issue, I hope you are inspired by the stories of achievement, generosity and momentum. None of this would be possible without your steadfast support. Thank you for believing in PHSC’ s mission and investing in the success of our students and our college.
