and policy, from the classroom to leadership roles at the local, state and national levels.
That path ultimately led him back home. On June 17, 2025, the District Board of Trustees officially named Hall the sixth president of PHSC. Now, Hall, walking the same campus where he once stood as a student, brings a unique blend of personal connection and visionary leadership.“ The opportunity to come home to the community where I grew up as a child, as well as to the College that helped me start the journey to where I am today, is truly a full-circle experience and such an incredible blessing,” Hall said.

Hall’ s return comes at a pivotal time for PHSC. As higher education continues to adapt to a rapidly changing world, from technological advancements to shifting student needs, Hall believes PHSC is positioned to lead.“ My passion for education and for student success has led me to dedicate my career to supporting and serving students, from the classroom as an educator, to the president of a college, regardless of the role, it always comes back to student achievement.”
As an alumnus, Hall brings a personal perspective to every decision. He understands what it means as a student to walk onto PHSC’ s campus unsure of what comes next. He knows the importance of affordable, quality education in changing the course of a life. And he recognizes how powerful it can be when a college invests in every student’ s success while creating the conditions to advance impactful outcomes.
“ My vision is focused on building PHSC into a highly known and reputable institution that provides second-to-none value and quality for our students, families and community. I want our institution to be the first-choice option, while also being the go-to partner for our local workforce and industry, building the talent needed across our region.”
Under Hall’ s leadership, PHSC is focusing on student support, expanded academic programs and stronger workforce partnerships.“ One of the greatest ways I hope to‘ give back’ is by building upon our great legacy, where we will honor our history, while laying the groundwork to accelerate our College into the next chapter of our mission. I want to give back as a leader and help write the next part of the PHSC story. This focus on quality, excellence, achievement and proven success not only provides for our current community and region but also ensures that PHSC

is a key ingredient in delivering great outcomes for the future generations of our Pasco and Hernando communities.” Hall sees an opportunity by expanding into new programs and redesigning the College to better establish the

pathways available for students, making their transition into, during and after PHSC as smooth as possible.
“ When I sit in my office as the President of PHSC, I look around often and recall taking a class in the exact same space over 30 years ago— it is truly surreal. PHCC gave, and now PHSC is giving me the gift of time, relationships, support and the opportunity to explore our future. This College helped pave the way for both my academic journey and that of so many others. I feel honored to serve PHSC and build upon its incredible history and success while charting a course that will secure our future as the premier cultivator of talent and opportunity.”
For Eric Hall, going from PHCC to PHSC is more than a professional milestone. It’ s a full-circle moment, proof of the power of education to transform lives along with a homecoming filled with gratitude, purpose and the belief that the power of education can change everything.
