Remembering Reggie Wilson

( 1976-2025)

With heavy hearts, PHSC shares the passing of Reggie Wilson, a beloved member of the PHSC community. Reggie dedicated 24 years to higher education, where he served with compassion, integrity and an unwavering commitment to our students and mission.

Those who worked with Reggie knew him to be the best of Pasco- Hernando State College, consistently reflecting the College’ s core values and leading with an exemplary degree of empathy and passion.

Reggie started in 2011 as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at West Campus and then went on to earn several promotions, leading to the assignment as North Campus Provost a little under four years ago.
Reggie passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. Surrounded by family, Reggie faced his illness with remarkable strength, grace and unwavering hope, a true testament to the resilience that defined his life.
Born on November 5, 1976, in Savannah, Georgia, Reggie lived a life filled with purpose, kindness and determination; a steadfast source of support and wisdom to all who knew him. His vast career in higher education was marked by dedication and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, students and community members alike. Throughout his journey with cancer, Reggie remained fiercely optimistic, finding joy in everyday moments and continuing to inspire those around him with his laughter, love and gratitude for life. He never let his diagnosis define him; instead, he chose to fight with dignity and live each day fully.

He enjoyed watching his beloved Miami Hurricanes during college football season, golfing, fishing and cruising. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
