ALUMNI NOTES 2010 Shawn Tammy Charles 2011 Berger, Dunedin, is the Technology Manager of the Microsoft Infrastructure Team at Syniverse. For the past six years, Berger has served on PHSC’s Workforce Development Business and Technical Advisory Committee. Tammy Charles, Brandon, received her Associate in Arts degree from PHSC before graduating from the University of Tampa with Magna Cum Laude distinction in Business Management in 2012. She later received her MBA and Nonprofit Leadership Certificate in 2016. She recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy Executive Certificate Program. Currently, Charles is the Founder and Chief Strategist at Inovo Strategic Consulting where she provides fund development, board development, strategic planning, social enterprise development, and business development to businesses and nonprofits. She is also the Founder and Chief Ecosystem Architect for Tampa Bay Spark, LLC. Charles is an Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough Community College and The University of Tampa and is also an instructor at Ultimate Medical Academy where she is teaching Accounting and Business Management to healthcare students. Charles has received numerous awards and accolades including receiving the prestigious 2018 Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce becoming the first woman of color in the Chamber’s history to receive this honor. She has also received the 2014 President Bill Clinton’s Commitment to Action Award, 2016 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comer Award for the Under 30 Category, 2017 New Leaders Council Fellow, and was honored by The University of Tampa with the 2017 Young Alumnus Award for her professional accomplishments and civic engagement. Nicollette Ross (Molina), St. Petersburg, currently works as a Vendor Solutions Representative for Trend Micro Cloud Security Solutions at Tech Data Corporation where she has been employed for the past six years. Ross is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business management at St. Petersburg College and resides in St. Pete with her husband. Nicollette Ross (Molina) 2015 Kevin Vazquez Cruz, Duluth, Georgia, currently oversees the biorepository for ThermoFisher Scientific who is contracted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Vazquez Cruz is newly engaged, and he resides with his fiancé in Duluth, Georgia. 30 PHSC
