he PHSC Foundation is a proud partner of the Community
Foundation of Tampa Bay (CFTB), an organization that
serves as a catalyst for philanthropy across the Tampa
Bay area, including Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties.
In April, PHSC was proud to host CFTB and an intimate group
of partners and donors during a celebration of giving. Many
charities and programs supported by CFTB grants attended the
event, including PHSC’s own Concept College.
Concept College is an outreach program for at-risk students
in local middle and high schools to explore their interests and
strengths and how those might match with a degree or certificate
opportunity at PHSC. Students receive exposure to a college
environment while gaining confidence and vision for a bigger,
brighter future.
The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and their Nature
Coast Council’s generous support for Concept College has
provided $18,000 in grants over the previous two years.
