Past Merges Now
Artist: Michael Conway
Jan. 10–Feb. 19, 2020
Opening Reception
Wed., Jan. 15 • 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
An artist by nature and a photographer by choice,
Michael Conway focuses on many creative areas,
including fine art photography, commercial and
studio photography and photo mixed media.
His exhibit Past Merges Now is the integration
of mid-century photography with current photo
mixed media, combining family perceptions and
a past generation world view with current art
disciplines. Photography is the perfect vehicle to
capture the moment. But, as photography has
evolved, the moment can be blurred through photo
manipulation either digitally, layered negatives
or by using photographs combined with other
mediums. Conway explores how photography
merges and integrates with other mediums.
