Alumni Games Highlight of Fall Ball
Alumni games are a highlight of the fall season. “It’s a great
opportunity for our current student athletes to visit with those
who have walked in their shoes and for the alumni to renew old
friendships from their days playing at the college,” said Steve
Winterling, PHSC Athletic Director and Men’s Head Baseball
Coach. The fall scrimmage season provides freshmen a chance to
acclimate to college ball and the sophomores to improve their skill
level and prepare for the four-year programs they hope to attend
after the spring.
“I look forward to the spring season and the challenges that lie
ahead of us in men’s baseball. Our schedule is very tough as we
play some of the top FCSAA DI programs in the state. The team
returns nine sophomores from last season’s 25-20 club. With the
addition of 15 new players, we are determined to be well prepared
for the 2018 spring season and the regional tournament that we
will host in April,” said Winterling.
