ACHIEVEMENTS In 2017-18, the College furthered its commitment to provide the highest quality and most affordable programs through innovation and a learning environment rich with opportunities for students and the community. We are stronger and more efficient, with a productive and engaged faculty and staff, and a commitment to developing partnerships with emphasis on higher education that focus on student success and align the College’s mission. Each year the College celebrates many achievements and the 2017-18 academic year was no exception. Our record of accomplishment for this past year includes: • conferred more than 780 degrees and certificates at Winter and Spring Commencement ceremonies with 2,152 grads eligible to participate July 2019 SUN MON TUES 1 2 WED 3 THUR 4 FRI SAT 5 6 Independence Day — College Closed 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 25 26 27 • hosted welcome back events at each campus, engaging more than 2,000 students each day • received accreditation for Professional Pilot Technology, Aviation Maintenance Administration, and Unmanned Vehicle Systems Operations Associate in Science degrees by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) District Board of Trustees Meeting • WC • celebrated 45 years of serving our two counties by hosting events at each campus • presented educational opportunities at PHSC and several other institutions at annual College Nights for area students 21 22 23 24 28 29 30 31 • women’s volleyball named District P Champions and placed seventh in NJCAA DII National Tournament • celebrated 10 th Annual Peace Week with keynote speakers, activities, and festivals that embraced the theme “Mindfulness” • recognized 10 students with the Dr. Felisha R. Barker Outstanding Student Leader Award • inducted Florida Senator Wilton Simpson into PHSC Legislative Hall of Fame Last Day of Classes PHSC Commencement
