KLAU LEGACY SUPPORTS STUDENT
Scholarships
Over $ 1 million has been gifted to the PHSC Foundation to benefit students pursuing a career in healthcare . The estate gift establishes the Lawrence and Charlotte Klau Memorial Fund , which will provide scholarships to health program students , with preference given to those enrolled in the nursing program .
Shortly after the passing of his wife and experiencing the tireless work and dedication of healthcare professionals , Lawrence established an annual scholarship in 2018 . Seeing the difference his scholarship made , he wanted to make certain that his and his wife ’ s legacy would ensure that future generations of students pursuing careers in healthcare would have access to the resources and opportunities they needed to succeed .
In recognition of the Klaus ’ generosity , the Performing Arts Center at PHSC ’ s West Campus will be named in honor of Lawrence and his wife Charlotte this spring , celebrating their shared commitment to advancing education and enriching the lives of students at PHSC .
