Following graduation , he continued to nurture his artistic talent through various private short courses in drawing and painting , all while maintaining regular employment to sustain himself . He has been living in Parys over the past three years .
Fast forward to today , Phillip has been a full-time artist for a decade . His work began to garner recognition , leading to exhibitions in prestigious galleries in Franschhoek , Cape Town , and Johannesburg . Today , his art can be found in collections both domestically and internationally .
Despite his success , Phillip persistently seeks to refine his craft . Drawing inspiration from the old masters , he has a particular affinity for oil-based portraits . He is currently preparing for a group exhibition in Kalk Bay at InkBox Gallery and a solo exhibition next year at the Rust en Vrede gallery in Cape Town .
