The Route

For 2024 , the route has been redesigned to meet international standards , enabling athletes to set and break new provincial , national , and world records . As an ASA Qualifier for Free State athletes , this event promises a professionally organized experience that encourages participation across all ages .

Athletes will start and finish at the Spur entrance at the Pick ‘ n Pay Centre in Water Street . The turning point of the route will be at Plum Tree Restaurant in Breë Street .

For the Rising Star Half Mile , they will turn at 400m and also finish at the Start .
