FITNESS FEASTING On Fitness FITNESS F easting, according to the dictionary, is a time of celebration, commemorating an event or person. The dictionary also suggests that feasting can mean “to experience something with gratification or delight”. I especially like this definition! you felt like getting your workout in. For me, thinking of my workouts as a celebration of all I am, of In the past, my thoughts about feasting related only to overindulgence in food or drink, which left me feeling stuff ed, lethargic and having had more than my fair share. But these days, I view feasting differently. Feasting daily on all life has to offer is an abundant and appreciative way to flow through life for me. And it’s a great way to think about your fitness journey. all I am able to offer others, helps prevent me from skipping them. As a fitness instructor, if I do not take the time to celebrate me, to put myself first, to find joy in my ability to move, how can I possibility install in others how important it is for them to honour and take care of themselves? Approaching your workout with the idea that you are feasting on life can be very supportive of your big picture plans. It can get you through the days where you just don’t feel like doing any kind of workout. This is true even if you’re in a rough patch and it’s been days since Approach your workout with the idea that you are feasting on life. So I celebrate my workouts and I invite my clients to do the same. What if you viewed each workout as a feast? A feast of gratification, a feast of celebration for all you have the ability to do. A celebration of You. Yes, You. You are worth it! Each workout you do is like a mini birthday celebration for yourself. Your ability to move, to bend, inhale, exhale, lift, and stretch is something to be very grateful for.
