This year , Automechanika Frankfurt ( 13-18 September ), the fair for automotive aftermarket professionals , will once more be a strongly international event , offering an overview on sector technologies and innovations . We take a look at the latest developments .
Automechanika Frankfurt , the international exhibition devoted to the automotive aftermarket , is back with a bang ! The 2022 event runs from 13 to 17 September , and will thereafter be held biennially , every even-numbered year . At the presentation of the fair at the end of June in Milan , attended by Alice Neotti , Marketing & Media Manager International Fairs at Messe Frankfurt Italia , and Olaf Mußhoff , Director of Automechanika Frankfurt , numerous new developments were unveiled which , following the hiatus due to the pandemic , will see the fair resuming its international dimension and once more welcoming people in person .
The figures underline how important it is for those across the entire global aftermarket supply chain to be meeting physically once again : over 2,600 exhibitors , 85 % from outside Germany , will be bringing their latest products and services to the fair , which has also received a record number of entries for the Automechanika Innovation Awards that traditionally reward the most innovative solutions ( 133 entries submitted by 99 exhibitors ).
THE AFTERMARKET WORLD GETTING TOGETHER AGAIN IN FRANKFURT The pandemic is not the only problem right now . In fact , a combination of problems — the conflict in Ukraine , the energy crisis , climate change , supply chain issues , a lack of semiconductors , and a shortage of qualified personnel — is making the Automechanika 2022 event more eagerly awaited that ever , as it offers those operating in the international aftermarket sector a valuable opportunity to swap notes directly .
