Golf Club membership offer for our Feel Inspired Academy Juniors A group of Oxfordshire children with special needs, who learned golf at the pioneering BB&O Golf Partnership Feel Inspired Academy, have been offered a bespoke golf club membership. The youngsters have spent the last two years learning golf at the Academy – run for boys and girls with special needs – at Waterstock Golf Club, near Oxford . Now Waterstock have offered the youngsters a specially created Feel Inspired membership. The special membership is being funded for the first year by a donation made to the BB&O Partnership by the One Arm Golfing Society. John Low, the chairman of the BB&O Golf Partnership said: “This is a fantastic step forward and we look forward to the boys and girls enjoying the benefits of becoming members of Waterstock Golf Club. “We really appreciate the support of The One Armed Golfing Society and Waterstock Golf Club.” The membership includes: - Feel Inspired driving range card and use of practice putting green - Use of equipment if needed - Allocated tee times throughout the year to play on the golf course Feel Inspired members are welcomed at Waterstock Golf Club (image courtesy Steve Wheeler). - Four group lessons (April, May, July, Sept) - Discounted individual golf lessons for ‘Feel Inspired’ members and their parents - When up to a standard to play nine holes, academy members can sign in an adult to play with them at a discounted rate John Low added: “When we embarked on the Feel Inspired programme our aim was to give our academy players the opportunity to learn the game of golf. “Our first group of nine students who have completed the two years’ academy coaching course have developed not only their golfing skills but have received many benefits in helping their mobility, self-confidence and developing friendships within the group.” The BB&O Golf Partnership programme has expanded and is now coaching 60 boys and girls at Feel Inspired academies in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Oxfordshire girls warm-up for 2014 Academy season Oxfordshire girls having competed for The Oxcalf Cup and Teddy Trophy held on the short Blenheim Course at Kirtlington Golf Club. All the girls, aged from 7 to 14 years, completed this short but challenging course and had some fun doing it. Thirteen of these girls are participating in the 2014 BB&O Academy at Studley Wood.
