THRIFTY SISTERS OFFERS THE AREA A TREASURE HUNT
O
ne of the best things about thrift
stores is finding treasures. This
is why most of us enjoy shows
like “Antiques Roadshow” and “American
Pickers.” We also like going to yard sales and
antique shops. You truly never know what
you are going to find!
In Scotland County there are two women
who refer to themselves as the “Thrifty
Sisters.” They are not related but they have
one big thing in common – they both own
a Thrift Store. There is some crossover in
the items they carry, but each store has a
main focus of items and both ladies love to
help their customers find whatever they are
looking for.
The 15/501 Thrift Store is located at 11081
John’s Road, just a mile outside the city
limits of Laurinburg. Liz has over 2000
square feet of items ranging from Bicycles
to antique farm equipment. She has a large
selection of electronics and other household
items as well as a variety of clothing for the
entire family. Her outside area has tables
available for rent so that you can set up and
sell your own treasures.
Re-Planted Thrift Store is located at 303
Atkinson in Laurinburg. Connie has 1,500
square feet featuring ladies clothing and
other household items but the big windows
in the front of her store has her main focus
on her plants. Her plants come with care
instruction cards and even if you think you
can’t keep plants alive she is there to help.
Follow her on Facebook to keep up with all
of her specials.
While in Scotland County, take the time to
visit each of these lovely ladies to see what
kind of treasures you might find, or maybe
develop a green thumb with a little help.
