n 2015, Dr. Ahdieh, a longtime
Richmond County children’s doctor,
retired after 30-plus years.
That’s when Dr. Charlotte McNeill, DNP,
FNP-BC and Dr. Mohamed Merghani,
MD decided to purchase the practice and
create what’s now known as MCM Pediatric
pediatric nurse practitioner Connie Kirkley,
CPNP-PC pretty much continued the same
policies and procedures that were already in
place.

regular business hours, so patients can
communicate directly with the staff in case
of emergency.
Both McNeill and Merghani worked
alongside Ahdieh for over a decade, with
McNeill having the longest tenure, joining
the practice in 1998.
“I think the biggest thing for the office is the
longevity of the practice--familiar names,”
said McNeill. “And I think that’s reassuring
to the community.”
McNeill says that she, Merghani and

She added that now is one of the busiest
times of the year because of flu season and
that each provider has approximately 25-30
appointments per day. Other peak times
include check-ups for sports registration
and school registration.

also participate with Easter Seals UCP to
provide psychiatry telehealth services and
have medical assistants and staff members
to review immunization rates and provide
patient appointments to keep them current.
