With this hands-on program, students create maps of their own neighborhoods, other communities, or imaginary places. As students create and navigate community maps, they learn challenging concepts such as grid coordinates, location, scale, and compass navigation. Students can customize maps with pictures, movies, and web links; print maps; or present them in a slideshow or on the internet.
