MY VALENTINE’ S STORY
Hello. My name is Rachel and I’ m going to tell you a special story. Special, because it will be about love, Valentine’ s Day and two teenagers, who were looking for happiness in their life.
It was three years ago. I was sixteen-years-old girl with big green eyes and curly brown hair. I didn’ t have a lot of friends. I didn’ t use to have any friends. Every day after school I was going home alone and then I was reading books, watching TV and drawing. One day, when I was painting a solar eclipse, my mum came home and said:
‘ Hello, Rachel! Why are you sitting here alone?’ – She hugged me.‘ Hm, people from my class are at the cinema now.’‘ And why aren’ t you with them?’‘ I don’ t like going outside, mum, and you know it’‘ Possibly, but don’ t you think it is necessary?’
‘ What do you mean?’ – I didn’ t like that kind of conversation. My mum used to have a lot of friends when she was at my age. We both knew about it.
‘ You know – great memory, important friendships, and … Rachel! Tomorrow is Valentine’ s Day! You can’ t sit here with … with only yourself!’
I completely forgot about it. I promised my mum to go somewhere with somebody every Valentine’ s Day. It was important day in our family – my birthday.
‘ Okay, okay. I asked Sue if she didn’ t want to go to the theatre and she agreed’. It wasn’ t true, but my mum didn’ t have to know about it. My mum smiled and left me alone.
