What is your job at PV ? COVID Tech .
How long have you worked at PVHCF ? I started here in February .
What is your favorite thing about Parkview ? The residents !
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not at work ? I enjoy playing with my 2 dogs named Chomp and Daisy and my cat named , Skitz . I love animals !
What ’ s one more thing you want us to know ? I used to do quarter mile drag racing when I still lived in Minnesota . I raced a ‘ 70 Chevelle SS and a ‘ 71 Nova SS .

Jack Glendenning was born May 17 , 1927 , to Edna May and Frank
Glendenning in Joplin , Missouri . Frank worked as an electrician while Edna May stayed at home to raise
Jack and his five siblings , Mary Lee , Bud , George , Holly , and Ralph . When Jack was a young boy his family moved to Bolivar , where his father Frank started Polk County Electric . Jack went to Bolivar High School and
after graduation went to Southwest Baptist College , and later to Missouri State University in Springfield . In the late 40s Jack met Doris Bean , a telephone operator at the time , and just knew that she made him feel complete . The couple were married in January 1950 in Bolivar , Missouri . Once they were married Jack took over his father ’ s business , Polk County Electric , while Doris stayed home to raise their three children , Dana , David , and Kerry . Jack was proud to be the provider in his household . After Jack retired , his kids , David and Dana took over the family business .
Jack enjoyed a very full and happy life . Over the years he has enjoyed playing bridge and making many friends through that . He and Doris enjoyed reading together . Jack also loves to spend time with his family , especially his many grandchildren and great grandchildren .
Jack came to Parkview in February 2021 , and when asked his favorite part about living here , he said , “ It has to be the food .” He often raves about it to his family when they come to visit .
