Donna Baker was born on Sept . 13 , 1947 , in Bolivar , Mo ., to parents Don and Dortha Lee Rotramel . She was first born of five children ; three brothers and one sister . Donna also has three step-sisters and two step-brothers . Her father was a Wichita linemen , and her mom a stay-at-home mom . Donna grew up in Bolivar and enjoyed going to Doling Park in Springfield . Her favorite thing to do there was roller skating . She has also enjoyed fishing her entire life .
While Donna was travelling through town one day she came to the stoplight and that ’ s where she met Bobby for the first time . They began talking to each other and talked through three stoplights before other cars started honking ! Bobby asked if she would like to go for a ride with him and she agreed ! Bobby and Donna were married in September 1968 .
Donna worked for many years outside the home as a cook and housekeeper . She worked at Southwest Baptist University as a housekeeper for more than 20 years . Bobby worked for Loren Cook for 32 years .
The couple had three children : Annette , Robert and Betty . Robert lives in Bolivar with his wife , Becky , and five children . Betty lives in Springfield with her husband , Jeremy , and two children .
Throughout the years Donna has enjoyed fishing , sewing , crocheting , crafts , spending time at the lake , and spending time with her grandkids . While at Parkview , Donna enjoys visiting with others as she is a “ people person ,” playing Bingo , and spending time with Bobby .
