Meet Georgia Hart, Resident of the Month
Georgia Hart was born Oct. 6, 1936, to Raymond
and Grace Albright in Auburn, Ind. Raymond worked as
a molder in a foundry for many years. While he worked,
Georgia’s mother stayed home to raise Georgia and
her four siblings: June, Jack, Edna, and Maxine. Geor-
gia grew up in Auburn where she went to school and
met her husband. After school, she and her friends
would regularly go to a booth at a local restaurant to
hang out and share a coke. One afternoon Harold, her
would be husband, walked in and sat at the counter.
He sent the waitress over to Georgia to ask her out to
the movies with him that evening, but she promptly
said no because he was a stranger. She went to the
movies that night with her friends and Harold showed
up. They got to know each other, and afterwards, he
and her friends walked her home.
The couple were married April 16, 1955, at the Church of Christ in Auburn. Geor-
gia worked for 20 years as a cook at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville,
Ohio. Hicksville was only 17 miles from Auburn, so she was friends with the other
cooks, nurses, and doctors at the facility. While she worked there, Harold worked in
different factories in the area. Together they raised three daughters Teresa, Kath-
leen, and Julia. Georgia currently has 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Through the years her favorite things to do included spending time with family
and at work with her friends, as family is the most important thing in her life. Grow-
ing up, she enjoyed playing games with her neighborhood friends including hide and
seek, bat and ball, and making up their own games outside. On the weekends she
would go to the movies to watch Westerns and Musicals. Currently her favorite activ-
ities include Sudoku, word puzzles, walking outside and reading.
Georgia came to Parkview in July of 2018. When asked her favorite part of living
here, she said enjoys the connections made between residents and staff. She also
wants everyone to know that, “If you have problems, just trust in God.”
Congratulations, Georgia, on being chosen as the Parkview Health Care Facility’s
Resident of the Month!
