Meet Clea Lightfoot, Resident of the Month
Benton Clea Lightfoot was born Dec. 18,
1924, in Adionis, Mo., to parents Benton and
Atha. Clea had three sisters and one brother,
and the family lived together on a farm. The fami-
ly farm was home to cattle and hogs. Clea
worked hard with his siblings on the farm. “My
family was poor, but had plenty to eat and
clothes to wear. We made due with what we
had,” said Clea. When Clea was 18 he and his
father moved to Hermitage and took over the
town’s hardware store.
Clea married Juanita in 1951, in their pastor’s
home. Clea doesn’t remember the first time he
met Junaita, because they knew each other from
a very young age. The couple lived a few miles
from each other and their families were friends.
Clea and Juanita have three children, one boy
and two girls. Clea also has five grandchildren.
Clea continued to work at the Hermitage hardware store for a few years after
getting married. The family then moved on to a small livestock farm. Clea didn’t
have much time for hobbies, but he did enjoy camping, fishing, and hunting.
“My faith has always been an important part of my life,” said Clea. He was
saved at a young age. Clea fondly remembers walking a mile to and from
church every Sunday as a family. He continues to read his Bible often.
Clea moved to Parkview Health Care Facility in Jan. 2018. Clea enjoys every-
thing about living here.
Congratulations, Clea, on being chosen as the Parkview Health Care Facility
resident of the month!
