Recreation for inclusion into the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund (KHLCF)
(http://www.dnr.ky.gov/heritageland/). The KHLCF aims to preserve and conserve natural areas
within the state that are unique, defined as containing rare and threatened species, performing
important ecological functions, or properties in near-natural states preserved for public use. The
properties in Jefferson Memorial Forest include Churchman Property (55 acres), Coogle Tract
(80 acres), Mitchell Tract (85 acres), Rayhill Tract (52 acres).
