By completing these objectives, this natural resource plan will consolidate into one document past analyses and plans constructed for these natural areas. In addition, a natural resource plan allows for Metro Parks and Recreation to set benchmarks on the success of preservation, conservation, and management of natural areas. Ultimately, this natural resource plan is a dynamic document that can be changed as more land is acquired or more knowledge is gained about the scientific and management practices used to conserve natural areas. 9
