ight . Students apply the design process to the problem of delivering aid to an area where supplies must be airlifted in and dropped from the air . This is a fun and engaging module to get the student to problem solve and work as a team .
Grade 4 Students engage in exploration of energy-related phenomena . They make observation , pose questions , and make connections as they investigate energy transfers . Throughout the module , students will explore connections to careers and to the necessity of energy in reallife . At the end of this module students will select a problem and use the design process to apply scienti c ideas to design , test , and re ne a device that converts energy from one form to another .
Grade 5 The 5th grade student will be using the LEGO Education Mindstorm robots this year . The students will code and program the robots to make sounds , move forward , move backward , turn and move objects . Students use a variety of types of code to create programs to solve real-world problems . It is important for students to grow their programming abilities over time to prepare them for tech-focused futures . This module is a great way for students to work as a team and problem solve together .

Health Room Practices 1 . Students are always sent home from school under the following conditions : Temperature greater than 100 Active vomiting or diarrhea Contagious diseases such as : chicken pox , strep throat , scarlet fever , active lice , impetigo , scabies and ringworm Undiagnosed rashes 2 . Students must be free of fever without any fever reducing medication for 24 hours before returning to school . Have not had vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours prior to returning to school . 3 . Students with a contagious disease must meet the following criteria before readmission to school : Conjunctivitis ( pink eye ) - Pre-K to Grade 5 students need to be on medication for 24 hours and show proof of medication . Chicken Pox out of school until all pox are scabbed over
