Garrison Spooner is a 9-year-old student
at Mary Martin Elementary along with
his twin brother Graham. Having shown
lambs for three years, this year will be
his third show at the county level. The
lambs he brought to show this year were
Lambey, Larry, Louis and Kirby, all of
which were sold in the market shows.
The Spooners have plans to start breeding their own animals for show instead
of buying them and have already bought
a breeding lamb for this year. Garrison
has won Grand Champion and made the
Parker County sale with his lambs.

Garrison is involved in Parker County
4-H where he attends cooking and leatherwork classes. Last year he and his brother also learned how to make a rocket out
of a coke bottle.
His favorite part of showing is when
he is “setting up my lambs off to brace.”
Throughout his young career in showing,
he said the most difficult thing he has had
to face is whenever the lambs “step on my
feet.” Garrison isn’t quite sure about what
he will do in the future but currently plans
to continue showing and having as much
fun as he can.
