Mac Smith Outstanding Attorney Award Wendi E. Andino Mac Smith, Wendi E. Andino 74 T his year’s winner of the Mac Smith Extraordinary Attorney Award is a Weatherford native who gradu- ated Weatherford High School and continued on to attend the University of North Texas, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in both Spanish and International Development. Wendi Andino received her Juris Doctor degree from the Texas A&M University School of Law. Andino and her husband Jose and son Christian live in Weatherford, as do her parents and a younger sister. “I feel extremely honored to have been nominated for this award,” Andino said. “Parker County is lucky to have such a strong, talented, and giving legal community, and there are a great deal of attorneys here who are just as deserving of a nomination.” Andino enjoys giving back to the community through work with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Parker County. As a founding board member, she works with other members and volunteers to staff the center with passionate professionals, raise needed funds and educate the community about the importance of the center’s mission. CACPC opened officially in April 2018. Asked to describe her vocation and associational
