Do you ever worry about the future and what will happen when the Millennials are completely in
charge? Sure, the Gen-Zers are not perfect and they post some crazy things on social media, but
who doesn’t?
They make up 25 percent of the U.S. population, making them a larger group than the Baby
Boomers, and are the first generation to have technology at a young age, causing them to have a
digital bond to the Internet. What other generation could program a phone before they learned
how to walk? We think that alone is pretty spectacular.
PCT set out to recognize the most impressive group of 15 young people that Parker County has to
offer. We have a gold medalist, young people with big hearts who give it all back to charity, and
kids who have fought health issues to come back stronger and better than ever.

To do this, we sent out nomination letters to both public and private schools, charities and other
organizations that work with young people and asked them who they thought was the cream
of the crop. Like we have in past years when we have given this award, the response was over-
whelming to say the least. After much debate, we and our community partners were able to find
15 spectacular Parker County young people who have already accomplished so much in such a
short amount of time.
