get into your occupation?
Johnny Purselley: My wife Paula and
I were buying properties and building
horse facilities on them and selling
them. We live on a small ranch and
raise commercial Brahman and cross-
bred cattle.
PCT: What is your favorite novel?
JP: “The Shack,” by William P.
Young.
PCT: What do you do to decompress?
JP: Ride my horse.
PCT: What is something people don’t
know about you?
JP: That we have seven dogs.
PCT: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
JP: For trying hard every time.
PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay
it forward?
JP: Providing warm clothes or sleep-
ing bags for the homeless. We also
PCT: If you had to do another job
other than what you’re doing, what
would you do?
JP: Ranching. I’ve won two APHA
World Championships, one in reining
and one in western pleasure. Showed
cutting horses most of my life, but
now just have one for fun.
PCT: What is your definition of the
best day ever?
JP: Love laying on the beach or in
mountains with my family.

you would give?
JP: Please God and don’t worry what
anyone else thinks.
