PCT: What is your favorite novel?
AA: I enjoy historical fiction. London
by Edward Rutherford is one of my
favorites.
PCT: What do you do to decompress?
AA: In the summer, I get in the pool.
In the winter, I go to my piano.
PCT: What is something people don’t
know about you?
AA: Most people don’t know two
things: I was a County Extension
Agent in Eastland and Palo Pinto
counties before going to work at
Weatherford College. The other is
that I am a church musician. I started
playing the piano for church when
I was 12. My sister, who is eleven
years older than me, played the
organ. My mother, sister, and I also
sang together. I grew up with lots
of music and singing in my home.
When I went away to college, I
stopped playing until we moved to
Mineral Wells where I played for the
children’s choir and was a substitute
on the pipe organ at First Methodist.
I now play piano and keyboard for
Annetta United Methodist.
