Don Allen Power Drive Award

— Stephen Jimenez , Jerry ’ s Hyundai General Manager
Manager Stephen Jimenez , 33 , has been selling cars for 15 years — just about half his life . The last seven years he ’ s worked for Jerry ’ s here in Parker County where he has distinguished himself as kind , friendly , caring and helpful . Our 2017 recipient of The Don Allen Power Drive Award says he enjoys car sales .

“ I enjoy helping people ,” he said , “ you know , seeing them get into a new car , or at least a car that is new to them . It ’ s always an exciting time for people .”

Originally from Waxahachie , Stephen worked first for Ennis Ford . “ I had some colleagues that went to work here in Weatherford at Jerry ’ s ,” he said . “ They kept trying to recruit me , and I met Don [ Allen ] and a couple other managers and came along . I ’ m glad I did .”

Stephen considers his family his greatest accomplishment , the thing he is proudest of in life . He and wife Cynthia have three children : Grace , Ariel and Micah , aged 10 , 8 and 6 , respectively .

But he ’ s proud at work , too . “ We [ the Hyundai dealership ] went from five salespeople to 15 ,” he said . “ Went from selling 50-70 cars to selling 200 a month . Don worked here at the time and kind of believed in me and so did Jerry and some of the other management . They gave me the chance to be here and do that .”
