Luke Haynes Using breakthrough technology to change lives one client at a time D 56 r. Luke Haynes has been the go-to in physical therapy in Parker County since opening his practice in Weatherford in 2003. With almost 25 years of experience practicing physical therapy, Haynes is our top doc with his ground-breaking therapy. Haynes’ prac- tice is centered on multiple ideologies in physical therapy, most notably the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, and Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling. “I consider myself a hybrid practitio- ner,” said Haynes. “While I provide all of the traditional therapies you would expect from a physical therapy clinic, my advanced training and certification allows me to integrate standard physical therapy with manipulation or adjust- ment of the spine and extremities with spinal decompression, and dry needling similar to what you would experience with acupuncture. The ability to bring in all three aspects of PT, manipulation, and dry needling is a great benefit to my patients to let us use a multitude of non- medicinal, non-surgical approaches to manage pain and to restore normal func- tional movement and activities.” Haynes graduated from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 1994 with a BsPT and began his clini- cal practice in Weatherford. In 1997, he opened his own practice providing contract services to different physical therapy providers. In 2000, he opened his first private practice outpatient physical therapy clinic in North Richland Hills, relocating to the medical district in the Mid-Cities. Haynes relocated his practice to Weatherford in 2003 to be closer to home, and recently settled into his new location at 1115 Ft. Worth Hwy. Suite 1200. Haynes went back to school, and completed his doctoral studies through Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in 2012 to give his patients the most cutting-edge therapy, changing the lives of his clients, one client at a time. It’s those breakthrough moments of helping them regain what was thought to be lost independence that still brings joy to Haynes and his wife Ashtyn after all these decades.  “What gives me the most joy about what I do is in seeing a person through a situation that they felt was going to be a devastating life change in regard to their independence and to watch them regain the confidence that they can have their life back. That’s what continues to give me satisfaction and drive to keep learn- ing and keep improving on my abili- ties and skill set.” Deborah Romack D.D.S Great Smile Equals Great Health I t’s hard to believe that this isn’t Dr. Deborah Romack’s first career. The New Jersey native taught high school biology, chemistry, and physi- cal science from 1980 – 1994, first in Columbus, Georgia and then in Perryton, Texas Because of her love of people, she wanted to help them on an entirely different level. So, she attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas from 1994 - 1998. She graduated with honors in May of 1998. Dr. Romack then moved to Weatherford in 1998 and joined Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. “I’m proud to be in a practice that has been serving Park er County for almost 60 years,” Dr. Romack said. “Our goal is to continue the tradi- tion of offering comprehensive family dentistry with the kind of one-on-one service that truly leaves a smile on our patients’ faces.” Patients who nominated Dr. Romack, talked about how they love the caring, giving atmosphere they receive, the level of respect and many of them actually referred to their experience as being, “fun,” a word not often used when people are referring to dental work. “We always make sure to run on time because your schedule is just as important as ours,” Dr. Romack said. “One way we do that is by having one of the most high-tech offices in the area. Between the latest technol- ogy and our decades of experience, you’ll be amazed at how fast your next dental appointment will fly by.” Besides the atmosphere of caring and respect for the time constraints of the patients, Dr. Romack is always looking for ways to improve her patient’s overall health. Since 1999, Dr. Romack has taken well over 1000 hours of continuing education in a variety of fields, concentrating in functional orthopedics orthodontics, and TMJ therapy. She has attended numerous continuing education courses to treat patients with sleep disordered breath- ing problems such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. “Sleep apnea can be a life threat- Continued on page 60
