So with this in mind, I would
like to tell you about our latest
hobby — camping.
Now, camping is an interest-
ing hobby. As with most hobbies,
it has its good points as well as a
few bad points. I’ll list some here,
for all you potential campers out
there.
First of all, camping has
become a very popular
pastime. More than 45.6 million
people took a camping trip at least
once last year. Just drive down
the road and start counting the
number of camping trailers you
see.
In Texas we have a great
resource in the Texas State Park
campgrounds. Excellent areas
to tent camp or to trailer camp.
(Just don’t try to go on weekends
or holidays, but that’s another
subject.) They have water, electric
and in some cases, sewage hook-
ups, as well as nice restrooms and
shower facilities. Hiking trails,
lakes, fishing and usually great
scenery. Sounds great, doesn’t
it? Well, here is the rest of the
story. Before you take the plunge,
there are definitely some things to
think about.
