The lack of flexibility in the restaurant business pushed me to make the change . It is very rewarding helping people make what is possibly the biggest decision of their life .
PCT : What is your favorite novel ? BS : Goodbye to a River , by John Graves .
PCT : What do you do to decompress ? BS : Hunting and fishing .
PCT : What is something people don ’ t know about you ? BS : “ DJ Britton ” was an electronic dance music DJ that was booked at clubs and electronic music festivals at least five nights a week in the early to late ‘ 90s . I still have a “ studio ” at home with all my records and equipment , and still play an occasional event .
PCT : What would you most like to be remembered for ? BS : Being the best human being I can be .
PCT : If you could have lunch with any person in history , living or dead , who would it be ? BS : Albert Schweitzer . He is , after all , my great , great something .
PCT : What is your impact to Parker County ? BS : I like to think by opening the Fire Oak Grill in 2007 on the Weatherford Downtown Square that I helped preserve and bring business to the downtown area .
PCT : What ’ s the best piece of advice you would give ? BS : Be honest and do the right thing . Good things happen to good people . Sometimes it just takes a while .
PCT : What is the coolest thing you have ever done in your life ? BS : Married my wife , Jamie Schweitzer . It ’ s the coolest thing that ’ s still cool . Winning the Texas Parks and Wildlife Grand Slam in 2011 , and fishing in Alaska seven years in a row are pretty darn cool , too .

Lowell Miles Moss is a retired Constable of Parker County Precinct 2 .
PCT : How did you get into your occupation ? LM : In the mid 80s , Calera , Okla ., Police Chief Jack Stockton told me I had the makings of a police officer . I became a reserve and then a full-time officer in Colbert , Okla .
PCT : What is your favorite novel ? LM : To Kill a Mockingbird . PCT : What do you do to decompress ? LM : Work in my yard , my flowers .
PCT : What is something people don ’ t know about you ? LM : I like things from the Victorian Era .
PCT : If you could have lunch with anyone , living or dead in history , who would it be ? LM : Billy Graham
PCT : If you had to do another job other than the one you ’ re doing , what would you do ? LM : I would continue being a police officer . I know I can ’ t change the world , but I can try with my part of it .
PCT : What is your impact on Parker County ? LM : I worked as a patrol officer , a criminal investigator , and a constable . I would hope I made an impact on making Parker County a better place to live and raise a family .
PCT : What is your definition of the best day ever ? LM : Any and every day I can spend with my beautiful wife , Deana .
PCT : What ’ s the best piece of advice you would give ? LM : Live life to the fullest ; there are no guaranteed tomorrows .
PCT : What is the coolest thing you have ever done in your life ? LM : Surviving being physically run over and the ability to give God all the glory .

PCT : What is something people don ’ t know about you ? JF : Twenty years ago I married my beautiful wife , Erika Greene Forrest , in a hot air balloon over Las Vegas .
