Willow Park, Tx 76087 • 817.441.8059 Nikki Peterson Cox met Christi Sears in junior high. Nikki was the new girl who’d moved to Texas from Illinois. Christi was the kind, friendly girl that liked to help everyone. She’d always lived in Aledo; everybody knew and liked her. “If I had to sum her up in one word it would be ‘genuine’,” Nikki said. “Christi’s the most honest, genuine person I’ve ever met.” Christi was an anchor and they remained friends through high school and beyond. When Nikki began looking for a unique property, the first person she called was Christi. Nikki’s lifelong friend had built a career as a realtor, helping countless families find their perfect properties. Nikki needed two houses with some land and a barn, a place where she, her dad, her teenaged daughter and her daughter’s horses could all live on the same property. Christi helped Nikki and her family find that home. “It was probably the fifth property I showed them,” Christi said. Christi grew up in Aledo and her grandfather, famed interior designer Frank Guse, and his wife Rosemary purchased the Hillmont Ranch in Aledo and renovated the landmark home called “The Castle.” Her parents, John and Joann Sears, bought some of the ranch property and moved there when Christi was a baby. The Sears became very active in the community and Aledo ISD. Christi attended Aledo schools from kindergarten through high school, graduated from TCU and became a teacher. “I taught for 13 years,” she said. “I loved the work but grew tired of living from paycheck to paycheck.” Like so many gifted educators, she left teaching to pursue a more comfortable lifestyle. She became a realtor in 2007. “That was when the market was crashing,” she said. At first, she thought she’d made the biggest mistake of her life. She often heard that most people that get into real estate don’t last. “But I stuck with it and I lasted,” she said. “I saw how Aledo was growing and I wanted to be a part of it.” Helping one of her closest friends find a property she loves has been a highly rewarding experience. “It’s the most incredible thing, knowing that people looking for their longtime home make that call to me. I know that I can make their dreams come true. Most people who call me are people who want a wonderful school district and a place that they can call home for years to come.” Her lifelong friend Nikki is now also her very pleased client. “We’re all so happy with our home, especially my daughter Raegan, who is 13. She’s so happy. We just stand on the back porch and talk about how perfect this place is for us,” Nikki said. “Buying a home was a scary process, but because of Christi, it ended up not being scary at all.” “I have spent many hours with this wonderful lady,” Stacy Lynch said. “Her ability to understand what her clients want or need is impecca- ble. She won an award of excellence this year and rightfully so. Christie was named ‘Realtor of the Year’ for Tarrant County. Also, in 2017, she was awarded one of our 3 Top Agents at Century 21 Lynch Legacy! This accomplishment was the result of almost tripling her production in one year. She is dedicated and loves her clients like family! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Christi in 2018! 59
