PTC: What services does Island Spa Retreat &
Boutique offer?
CS: We offer ashiatsu, deep tissue, hot rocks,
bamboo, prenatal and outcall massages. We also
offer personal shopping.
We have clothing by different designers and
we also sell candles by Blu Capri. The line
of clothing is also sold at the Havens Spa in
Weatherford.
PCT: Where would you like the business to be
in five years?
CS: In the future we are hoping to expand the
business in different locations as a total wellness
center.
PCT: What inspired you want to open Island Spa
Retreat & Boutique?
CS: I wanted to become independent and help
others in a holistic way and to be of service to
others.
PCT: What is something interesting about yourself that others might not know?
CS: The massages are offered using a different
type of technique that few massage therapists
are doing in the Metroplex. The boutique carries
a different clothing line that you may not find in
retail stores.
PCT: If you weren’t operating Island Spa Retreat
& Bou tique what would you be doing?
CS: We would be working in the medical field
helping others.
PCT: What do you like to do in your spare time?
CS: I like gardening, helping rescue animals
and fishing; Cindy likes to spend time with her
grandchildren and travel.
PCT: Do you have any advice to others who are
thinking about starting a business?
CS: Make sure you have money and are passionate about what you are doing.
