William ( Bill ) V . Cerbone , Jr .
Bill is an attorney .
PCT : How did you get into your occupation ? BC : I can ’ t remember a time when I didn ’ t know I wanted to be an attorney . From an early age , I came to believe that historically , lawyers were often at the forefront of the fight for freedom and the battle to preserve that freedom once obtained . I have always thought that law was the one profession that could impact for good or bad every aspect of society – from enforcing the law as a prosecutor , defending constitutional rights , organizing and representing businesses and / or employees to assisting individuals and families plan for the future ; the legal profession contributes to the peace and security of society . Even after 39 years as a practicing attorney , I remain idealistic about the legal profession .
PCT : What is your favorite novel ? BC : Like most kids growing up in the 1960s , two novels that stand out are George Orwell ’ s 1984 and Animal Farm because of their focus on the dangers of centralized control and loss of individual freedom and individual expression . But I guess I would have to say my favorite novel is Mario Putzo ’ s The Godfather because of my Italian heritage and the fact that so many of the characters were familiar to our family ( that ’ s another story !).
PCT : What do you do to decompress ?
