As champions in promoting athlete protection , the USASF continues to strive to provide the safest possible training and competitive environment for our most precious members . Through a partnership with Safe At All Star , the USASF provides abuse prevention education to support our ongoing athlete protection efforts .
A membership eligibility requirement for all USASF adult participants is abuse prevention education through Safe At All Star . Adult participants are those who have contact with minor athletes including club owners , coaches , volunteers , legality officials , event producers and adult athletes . Safe At All Star also provides age-appropriate child sexual abuse awareness and prevention training for athletes and provides support to the reporting , response and resolution processes used by the USASF .
Working to protect our athletes
“ As a father , I had the unfortunate experience of discovering that my daughter had been contacted by an online predator ,” says Ken Newman , chief executive officer , Safe At All Star . “ I knew something should and could be done to better protect our youth .”
With extensive experience in law enforcement , Newman took a comprehensive , multi-layered approach to youth protection , safety and security . He assembled a team of educators and top security experts , including several former U . S . Secret Service agents , to develop and introduce high levels of education and protection to the All Star cheer and dance community .
“ Our number one priority is to protect young athletes ,” says Newman . “ We ’ re honored to partner with the USASF and contribute to their mission to create the safest environment possible and promote a positive image for the sport .”
Crowdsourcing is the practice of obtaining information or input into a task or project by enlisting the services of a large number of people , especially from the online community . Safe At All Star takes crowdsourcing to a more impactful level with mobile technologies that better facilitate information sharing between members of the community and law enforcement . Safe At All Star ' s revolutionary technologies will soon educate , train and enable USASF members to make wiser , safer decisions .
