past several years. Community
leaders and volunteers, school leadership and churches in our area made it possible to feed
68,030 students in Rowan County this summer. That is an increase of over 11,000 meals from
2013! Several new sites opened in the county where needed for summer meals for students, but
there are areas of the county that could still use our help.
The 2015 program preparation is already underway with plans to expand the program even
more. Rowan-Salisbury Child Nutrition staff are actively looking to educate parents about the

to partner with us and become a site in 2015 or to learn more about how students can receive
summer meals at participating sites. It is truly a pleasure to provide nutritious meals to the
students of Rowan County.
