Those were just a few of the encouraging phrases that Rea View Elementary students wrote on 250 bright blue tote bags , or “ sweet cases ,” on Valentine ’ s Day . The bags -- which were also stuffed with teddy bears , blankets , hygiene supplies , coloring books , crayons and handmade “ sweet cards ” – will be donated to foster children in the greater Charlotte area .
