Parkwood High junior is named Student Athlete of the Month Timothy Leckrone, a junior at Parkwood High, has been named the Bank of North Carolina athlete of the month for November. In honor of Timothy’s recognition, the school received a $250 check for the its athletic department during a short presentation on Nov. 24. Timothy has a love for academics and athletics. He has been a starter on the men’s soccer team for three years. For the first time in four years, the soccer team earned a third place conference finish and a played in a playoff game. Timothy has also earned All Rocky River Conference honors and All Region honors. “His greatest attribute is his leadership ability,” said Parkwood High Athletic Director Nelson Garner. “Timothy is an extremely humble kid that has earned the respect of his teammates through his work ethic and consistent demeanor out on the field.” Timothy’s academic achievements are also quite impressive. He holds a 4.6 GPA which currently ranks him 10th in his class.
