The Rowan County Early College has always been a tight knit community, composed of both teachers and students. I believe that the love and support we receive at the early college is the reason for our repeated success. The celebration of our A rating shows that the fostering of a nurturing and positive environment, encourages learning that students can thrive in! When we have constant support from teachers and faculty it encourages students to put in our best efforts. …Taron Lilly One RCEC student summed it all up by stating, “Being at an Early College is an amazing experience that I’m grateful for. I will be able to graduate college and high school in four years. The two years that I’ve been at RCEC, we have been able to keep an ‘A’ rating. On October 5, 2018, our school had a celebration. At the ‘A’ Team Celebration, I was able to spend time with my classmates and realize that our hard work last year paid off. It’s a good feeling to be at an ‘A’ rated school because you realize that you aren’t the only one that cares about their education, and it’s another factor that brings the school together.” 6 • November/December 2018• Parent Teacher Magazine
