EdCamp
Rowan
Rowan-Salisbury
Schools sponsored our
first EdCamp Rowan
– an event designed
specifically for teachers
to help them meet their
instructional needs.
Over 200 educators
from across the state,
mostly from RSS, that
have a passion for education attended a fun day of personalized learning and
connecting. This also became a makeup opportunity for teachers that missed
days due to inclement weather. Student ambassadors did a great job of
welcoming and assisting visitors. Vendors from across the country showcased
innovative ideas and opportunities to our educators. EdCamp Rowan was held
all day Saturday at Knox Middle School. You can follow the excitement of
the day on our Twitter page at #EdCampRSS and on Derek McCoy’s blog at:
http://mccoyderek.com Many thanks to Andrew Smith, Director for Digital
Innovation, and his team for putting together an extraordinary professional
development opportunity for our educators.
