The RSS Code Bus is
designed to provide
students with unique
coding experiences.
The bus allows a
variety of lessons
to be delivered that
help students learn
coding concepts
and complete tasks
identical to a career
coder. These skills
allow students to
make their ideas
come to life on a
computer screen to
be shared
with peers
and the
world.
Coding also
benefits
the ability
of students
to critically
think.

Computational thinking, which is essential in coding, helps students process
and solve problems with better efficiency. The bus also provides a safe space
for students to succeed and fail in an environment that encourages learning
from mistakes and developing grit when tasks become difficult.
The RSS Code Bus was made possible by donations of funds and talents from
Fred and Alice Stanback, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Jerry McGrady
of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Auto Body Repair and the RSS
Transportation Department.
