Students Build Dream Playhouse Register Now for Summer & Fall Classes! Ch CCS carpentry students spent a week in early July building a dream playhouse that will be entered into a playhouse competition at the Southern Ideal Home Show in August. The Cabarrus County Building Industry Association (CCBIA) offered this summer camp opportunity for CCS carpentry students. Eager students arrived early on July 8th to begin what would be a building adventure. After four days of working side by side with local building industry professionals and their carpentry teacher, students at Concord High School completed a playhouse. The home is energy efficient and passes all of the new energy codes. The home will come complete with hardwood floors, granite countertops, architectural shingles, 1X6 tongue-in-groove siding, a bead board ceiling, a mounted flat screen TV, ceiling fan, and an under-the-counter refrigerator. One recipient from the Make a Wish Foundation will select a playhouse to from the show to take home. All other houses will be auctioned. The proceeds from the auction will be dispersed among local children’s charities. ut  ck o e our ss Cla es!
