Under Armour All-American Team
Cox Mill High School Student Athlete Taylor Rowland
has been named to the 2017-2018 Under Armour
All-American Team! More than 620 players were
nominated through the American Volleyball Coaches
Association and MaxPreps.com. The list was
narrowed down to 150 players to make up the first-,
second-, and third-team positions, and honorable-
mention slots. Another CMHS student, Courtney
Weber, received honorable mention on the Under
Armour squad. Congratulations, Taylor and Courtney!

inspiration and music on Nov.
1st.

Program shared their inspiring
stories. Former NFL Player
Renaldo Wynn, along with
Nigel Smith of Nigel Smith &
Friends and Tori Knox, author
and entrepreneur gave a lively,
uplifting presentation that
focused on knowing your self-
worth, making good decisions
and following your passion.

Cabarrus Tech Hosts
FOCUS Night
Cabarrus Tech Early College hosted
its second annual FOCUS Night
for students and parents. Forming
Ongoing Cobra Understanding and
Support (FOCUS) is run through
the school counseling program to
encourage social, emotional, and
academic collegiate standards.
Students and parents participated in
various workshops throughout the
night and guest speakers from the
community spoke about emotional
support, internet safety and
decision-making skills.
