Congratulations to Harrisburg Elementary and Harris Road Middle Schools on their designations as Global-Education Ready Schools . The North Carolina State Board of Education honored representatives from the schools and the district at a ceremony in Raleigh on Nov . 3 rd .
Harris Road Middle School – Inquiry-based learning that makes global education relevant to the students in their content instruction so that students are still engaged in discussing what they learned in the hallways while transitioning to their next class ( adults hugging the hallways ). Student panel that convinced the visiting team with their thoughtful answers ( and brought tears to the faculty who were also surprised at the depth and meaning of the answers ) as to why being in a global-education ready school was important and how it was preparing them for their future success and how a global focus in education will make their future world a better one .
The Cabarrus County Board of Education and Superintendent Chris Lowder recognized the Global Education School Teams at the Board ’ s Business Meeting on Monday , Nov . 14 th .
